Brie-ng Your Enthusiasm

New York is amazing. Law school is amazing (so far). Put that together and what do you get? NYU Law is amazing.

It's hard to complain when you look one way and see Washington Square Park, and look to the other and see One World Trade Center.

And this is view from my dorm:

But NYU also has a brilliant thing called the Cheese Club. Cheese is one of life's greatest joys, in all its forms (mac and cheese, fondue, mozzarella sticks...). Having a club dedicated to it? That's just too good to pass up.

This past Monday, they held an event called R & Brie, where they played -- you guessed it -- R n' B music while serving all sorts of varieties of Brie. I admit that my friends had a bit of trouble finding the venue, since the Cheese Club is for undergrads and thus held at an undergrad building. But we law students crashed the party anyway, and had loads of fun.

There was bread, many types of Brie (the extra creamy was my favorite, by far), and condiments (fig jam was a good one, as was pomegranate).

These pictures do not do it justice. Just trust me when I say that anytime you come across an event that advertises cheese, just go. Don't wonder if it's an event for people younger than you. Cheese knows no age.
